Masks are still required at both Five Stride locations. Brooklyn and Portland still fall into the high risk category for COVID and the majority of our local communities are not vaccinated. We do not have the capacity to track who is and who is not vaccinated during your visit. It is simpler and safer for all staff and customers to require masks for everyone while shopping and picking up at Five Stride.
There is still a world wide roller skate shortage. We are consistently receiving skate shipments but we always don't have good estimates when certain brands/models will be restocked.
In Portland, we are open for fittings and service with limited indoor capacity. Masks are required. We are no longer booking appointments and have moved to a first come first serve basis. For pads and accessories, we can shop for you from the doorway. You can also order online for curbside pick up. Please be aware, our Portland shop is extremely small and we do not have space to accommodate many people indoors (but good news, we will be moving to a bigger space this summer). We also have a carport outside of our store where we are offering fittings.
In Brooklyn, we are open for fittings and service with limited indoor capacity. Masks are required. We are no longer booking appointments and have moved to a first come first serve basis. Please note there is often a line on weekends and we cannot start fittings within 30 minutes of shop close so arrive early. For accessories and pads we can shop for you from our in-store waiting area or you can order online for curbside pick up.
Pre-orders for Moxi Lolly and Jack roller skates are currently on hold. The manufacturers have suspended preordering until all current orders have been fulfilled. We will post updates here and on our social media platforms as soon as Riedell (the manufacturer) begins accepting new orders. Additionally, we are unable to take preorders for all overseas made skates (all Impalas, Sure Grip, and Moxi Beach Bunny) as the ETAs are unknown at this time. Custom Riedell orders are experiencing their standard 6-12 week wait.
Our website lists all stock by store. Available products are also posted to our instagram (@fivestride) as we receive restock shipments.
We are offering services and mounting at both shops. At this time, we can't offer same day mounting and are requiring that advance arrangements be made. We will install small parts on the fly as time allows when you visit or your skates can be left for installation and picked up another day. You can call the shop or email us to schedule services & mounting.
Please be advised that putting an item in your cart does not hold that item. Stock is secured when checkout and payment is completed.
Please do not show up to pick-up orders until you receive confirmation from us via email or phone.
